The project consisted of different outdoor activities and during the exchange young people had the opportunity to experience in different activities, such as survival in the forest, building shelters, survival techniques, using natural resources and tools to survive, ecology workshops.
The project took place in Stargard Szczecinski, north-western part of Poland, from 25th January to 1st February 2015, under the leadership of ZWK OHP (Zachodniopomorska Wojewódzka Komenda Ochotniczych Hufców Pracy w Szczecinie).
CUS Padova proposed to contribute to the project with its expertise in the field of outdoor activities and in particular in the practice of orienteering. Over the years, CUS Padova has organised lots of trainings and several events for youth in the field of orienteering. Through orienteering, young people can develop their physical and motor skills, as well as their intellectual abilities; they discover nature and learn to respect it and most of all they discover new things about themselves and what they can do.
CUS Padova sent to Poland a group of eight youngsters accompanied by two team leaders with a good knowledge of orienteering techniques to share their experience with the other European partners during the exchange.
